Process

How an estate appraisal works

Our process is designed for attorneys and executors — minimal burden on you, maximum documentation for the court.

Use the form below or call us directly. Provide the number of rugs, location, and urgency. We match you with a RICA appraiser in the appropriate geography.

Physical Inspection
The appraiser visits the property (or arranges shipping for smaller pieces). Each rug is physically examined — pile, foundation, dye, dimensions, condition — per the RUG Index protocol.
Within 5 business days

Report Preparation
A full written appraisal report is prepared for each rug. Includes photographs, five-pillar scoring, fair market value, and all value contexts. Signed and sealed by the appraiser.

Delivery & Follow-up
Reports delivered as certified PDF. We're available for follow-up questions from attorneys, CPAs, or courts. Expert witness testimony available on request.
