These SMS Messaging Terms & Conditions ("SMS Terms") govern the text-message program operated by The RUG Index ("we," "us," "our"). By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to these SMS Terms. They supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
When you check the SMS opt-in box on our appraisal or signup forms, you give your express consent to receive text messages from The RUG Index at the mobile number you provide. These messages may include appraisal status updates, scheduling and delivery notices, and occasional offers. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any product or service — you can use every part of The RUG Index without opting in to SMS.
Message frequency varies based on your activity with us — for example, updates tied to an active appraisal. You should not expect a fixed number of messages per week or month. Transactional messages (such as a report-ready notice) are sent as events occur.
Message and data rates may apply. The RUG Index does not charge for the text messages themselves, but your mobile carrier may charge for sending or receiving messages depending on your plan. Contact your carrier for details about your messaging and data charges.
You can cancel the SMS program at any time. Reply STOP to any message you receive from us, and we will stop sending SMS messages to that number. You will receive a single confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out, after which no further messages are sent unless you opt in again.

We respect your privacy. Your mobile number is used to operate the SMS program and is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or rent your mobile number, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We only send messages to people who have opted in, and only content relevant to your relationship with The RUG Index. We never send unsolicited bulk or "spam" texts. Every message comes from The RUG Index, and you remain in control — opt out at any time by replying STOP.
